The Unhurried Founder

Emotional wellness newsletter for founders

Building something is hard. So is being the person building it. Every Sunday, a short note on the emotional side of building a company.

A new letter every Sunday.

Building a company changes you.

Not just your calendar or your bank balance, but the way you think, the way you relate to people, the way you handle uncertainty, and even the way you see yourself.

The internet is full of advice for founders, like how to grow, how to raise money, how to hire, how to stay productive, how to build an audience.

But there isn’t much about the person who is actually living through it.

The person who feels incredible when something finally works, who reaches a milestone and feels strangely empty afterwards, the one replaying a decision from three weeks ago, the one who feels completely certain on Monday and questions everything by Friday, the one whose relationships, routines, identity, and sense of self slowly start changing around the work.

The Unhurried Founder is a weekly letter about that person.

I write about what it feels like to build something ambitious while trying to remain a whole person outside of it.

Some of it comes from my own experience of building a company. Some comes from conversations with other founders. And some comes from simply paying attention to what I see happening around me.

This isn’t a newsletter about becoming a better founder. It’s about understanding what happens to you while you become one.

For founders who care deeply about what they’re building, but don’t want to lose themselves in the process.
